msl6000, tape format issues CANNOT OPEN DEVICE [6] NO SUCH DEVICE OR ADDRESS
Hi Guys, I have just finished installing the above LTO library onto N4000 server, hpux 11.00 and was met at the final hurdle of configuring into Omniback II V3.50 with this problem. Thing is, i managed to format one tape on each drive before I then started to recv the errors (which take 15 mins to complete). As far as I am aware the firmware level is 4.30 for the library and quite recent. Not sure if the firmware on the SCSI card may play a part in this problem. All medium changer commands work so its not the picker/arm. The drive just wont speak to the tapes!!!!! Any ideas???, I'm already up the creek with no paddle as I've missed the customer weekly offline backup. Any guidance would be appreciated, cheers Ian M
