problem with hp iltrium storageworks 1760 external tape drive

I need your help with this issue
We bought a promis ultrium 1760 tape drive external SAS yesterday for my company
I tried to install it on a IBM x3650 M2 server which have an external SAS port. I installed the driver and connect the driver and power it on.
The tape drive was not detected. I tested this with another server but i have the dame result.
Please help me ! Have i to do something to actived my SAS port? The HP iltrium sas tape drive is ont compatible with IBM server?
I have some hp proliant server but they don't have SAS external port. What can i do to use these hp servers for my drive?
The drive come with an mini SAS cable (SFF 8088 ) . Is it possible to have an USB adapter ? Or can you recommand me annoter solution?
I noted what my SAS port on the IBM servers is not listed in my computer devices , is it normal ? Reinstall my os on Ibm server would be a solution?
