restoring Novell backups to other files systems (Unix, NDMP or Windows)

I have a pile of Novell backups from our soon to be decommissioned Novell Netware e-directories. Ideally I would like to remove all Novell presence but retain the ability to restore files from the Novell backups onto other existing file systems (Windows, NDMP or Unix).
Does anybody have any experience of doing this? The DP documentations seems to indicate that Netware restores will only restore to netware volumes. I would appreciate any help in this area.

I forgot to add that we're using Data Protector 6.0

Hi,

My experience of Novell gave up around Netware 3.12... You might get more response if you let people know what versions of software you're using...

Cheers,

Rob

The current version we're using is Novell 5.00.10

It is not whether you can restore the files, it is whether you can retrieve and use the contents of them. Regardless of the answer you should verify this yourself within your environment and document the process as the official method for restoring Novell files in the newer systems.
