tape stops after8-10 mins
I have purchased the ultrium 215 internal drive and am having some issues. I am not sure if it is the drive or the SCSI card. I have a soyo P41 Fire dragon MB with 1gig ram and the SCSI card is an Adaptec 29160N running on win 2K server. The backup will run for for about 10mins before it just stops. No errors infact the program thinks it is still running but you can see nothing is moving. I have tried more than one backup software to make sure that was not the problem. Please help I need to get this running in a hurry. Also is there another SCSI card that is better recomended.

Re: tape stops after8-10 mins
Download the Library and Tape Tools diagnostic from this site to test the drive and your system.

generate a support ticket (while the tape is still loaded). Post the support ticket here so we can look at the error rate logs, performance logs, etc and see if we can find out your issue.
(Also, make sure you are using the lastest version of LTT - 3.4 SR1.)
Cheers,
