two drives one bus?

We had two external TZS20 (AIT) drives on one scsi bus... one had a problem so Compaq replaced the drive... now we can't get our server to recognize anything beyond the first drive in scsi bus... doesn't matter which drive is first... have also tried turning off the termination power on the first drive. Any suggestions?

Check the scsi id's on the drives - and try moving the drive position on the cable. Possibly the connector on the cable could be faulty.
