ultrium device files
Hi! I connected an Ultrium 230e in a N4000 server HP-UX 11.00. The driver assigned is stape and the special files are:
/dev/rmt/c13t3d0BEST
/dev/rmt/c13t3d0BESTb
/dev/rmt/c13t3d0BESTn
/dev/rmt/c13t3d0BESTnb
Is this normal?
fbackup can not use any of the special files list above.
Somebody knows why?
If you are a Database expert. What special file will you use to backup the raw database? (we use Informix DS).
I will appreciate your answers.
/dev/rmt/c13t3d0BEST
/dev/rmt/c13t3d0BESTb
/dev/rmt/c13t3d0BESTn
/dev/rmt/c13t3d0BESTnb

Re: ultrium device files
Yes it is normal. You should be able to use c#t#d#BEST. Informix raw data, use /dev/rmt/0m.
