unreadable media
hi, I have a problem on hp storageworks autoloader 1/8. The problem is, the cleaning tape only and it is not detected to BRIGHTSTOR ARCSERVE back-up software. I already change two new cleaning tapes and change the location to slot 8 and 7 for the cleaning tape, then update the firmware using LTT but still same problem. The autoloader can back-up/restore data except it only appeared as instead of . Also, I ran a diagnostic test on the autoloader while the back-up software screen is open but no data back-up is running. After a few testing, an error code appear on the front panel of autoloader ERROR CODE:89. What causes of this kind of problem...

Re: unreadable media
when you install and configure a tape library in ArcServe you have the option to define a cleaning slot.
Have you done this?
Which version od Arcserve are you dealing with?
