HPE SAN switch requirment need
Asume I needs to purchase a redundant pair of SAN switches for virtualization environment. I requires a total of eight 16 Gbps FC storage ports and eighteen 8 Gbps FC host attachments.. shall HPE StoreFabric SN6010C 12 full fit my requirment?

Hi,
Yes, the switch SN6010C will fit the purpose. The 16Gb port can be set to be used at 8GB either by fixing the port or it will auto negotiate to 8GB with 8GB device.

Since, the the product comes with 12 defautl port enabled, thus to use more than 12 port , you will be required to purchase POD license With the flexibility to expand from 12 to 48 ports in 12-port increments

All the 16GB switches are backward compatible to 8GB and 4GB, This can be achieved automatically with auto-negotiation depending upond end device connected or by fixing the port speed.
