I have a question and i am little confused please anyone guide me

A customer needs to purchase a redundant pair of SAN switches for their virtualization
environment. The customer requires a total of eight 16 Gbps FC storage ports and
eighteen 8 Gbps FC host attachments.

Which switch meets the customer's needs at the lowest cost?

A. HPE 8/24 SAN Switch 16-port Switch with an 8-port Upgrade License
B. HPE StoreFabric SN6010C 12-port Switch with an On-Demand Port Activation License
C. HPE 8/24 SAN switch 16-port Switch
D. HPE StoreFabric SN6010C 48-port Switch

Can anyone tell me the right answer, please

Customer is in need of 16Gbps port speed for connecting storage ports.
and Customer Needs minimum of 24 physical port . Since, 16Gbps ports are backward compatible
therefore, they can be used at 8Gbps as well.

a) Thus  we should not looks for 8GB switches, we should look for 16GB switches. Thus below two may not be considered :--

HPE 8/24 SAN Switch 16-port Switch with an 8-port Upgrade License

HPE 8/24 SAN switch 16-port Switch

b) Among the rest two both are SN6010C with 48 physical ports ,there in you add a license to increase the number of ports you can use, with increment if 12 ports.

Since, we need only 24 ports now , therefore " HPE StoreFabric SN6010C 12-port Switch with an On-Demand Port Activation License " looks more appropirate among the list.

One can also consider HPE SN6000B

• HPE SN6000B 16Gb 48-port/24-port Active Fibre Channel Switch
