G2 Autoloader in VMWare

I am trying to install a HP 1/8 G2 Autloader on a VMWare ESX 4.0 virtual server. I am using a Smart Array P212 and the server is a HP Proliant DL380 G7. I can get the system to see the tape drive but not thetape library. VMWare tell me this is a vendor specific issue.

This is autoloader is a multi-lun autoloader (see user manual). So tape drive and media changer device will use the same SCSI ID but on different luns. This is not supported VMware. It will just see the tape drive.
