As per HPE StoreOnce Catalyst Plug-in 4.1.1 User guide for Veritas BackupExec on Page 38. They have clearly mentioned that you cannot use Client side deduplication. But  on  HP Knowledge base they have mentioned that Version 4.1.1 is compatible. with Backup exec.

Hi Unni,

When you say "BackupExec Client sided dedup" do you mean the dedupe built in to the BE software on the client source (e.g. a file server)? or do you mean running StoreOnce Catalyst deduplication on the BE media server?
