I want to connect some of our "D2D VTL"s tape drives to a blade server.
However, if I make an SAN zone config between the D2D FC port and the blade VC SAN switch FC ports, ALL THE SERVERS in the blade enclosure will "see" the tape drives.
How can I limit the access of tape drives to a single blade server in the enclosure?
Note: Disk systems like EVA or P6000 can limit LUN's access by using the server FC interface WWN. In D2D VTL I cannot do this.
P.S. This thread has been moved from Tape Backup (Small and Medium Business) to Disk-Based Backup. - Hp forum moderator

Re: Limiting access of tape drives over SAN to a single blade server
WWN-base zoning seems to address this problem.
Thank you.
