VLS and VMWare ESX
Is it possible to work with VLS(1200 or 9000)
within guest operating system(Windows) in VMWare ESX.
For example if my Exchange Server be on a guest OS , is it possible to get Server less or SAN base backup?

Re: VLS and VMWare ESX
Fibre Channel-attached tapes or libraries are not supported. Even parallel SCSI-attached devices require a specific Adaptec HBA and different target addresses.
You might want to take a look t the VMware Consolidated Backup (VCB), but it requires a Windows 2003-based server to read from the VMDK and write to the FC-attached tape.
