VLS12200 configuration questions
Q1. why don't the 2 FC host ports have light? Even though they are connected to the SAN switches.
Q2. I find out the WWPN of the 2 FC host ports in the CV VLS and printed in the FC card is different. which one should be used when we create zones in the SAN switch?
Q3.There are four nodes, and the customer want to create 2 libraries,
The first library uses the node 0 and 1. And the vdisks used by it are present to these nodes.
The second library uses the node 2 and 3, and the vdisks used by it are present to node 2 and 3.
Is this solution preferred?
Q4. Does the two pathes of the same lun support load balance? If yes, how does VLS12200 choose 2 pathes of a lun?
Thank you very much!!!

Re: VLS12200 configuration questions
Q1. Do you have connectivity on the ports? (see them in the switch, etc)? Maybe you need to enable them in the VLS / switch?
Q2. Do you have the examples? Maybe what you see on the card is the WWnN?
Q4. If the two paths are to the same controller then yes it can load balance between them (the EVA is assymmetric active-active so you want to have traffic towards the controller that owns the LUN).

Re: VLS12200 configuration questions
Johan,
Thanks for your quickly answers.
Q1. Do you have connectivity on the ports? (see them in the switch, etc)? Maybe you need to enable them in the VLS / switch?
I'm sure the port is enabled.
Q2. Do you have the examples? Maybe what you see on the card is the WWnN?
The wwpn on the card is 2100 0024 xxxx xxxx
The wwpn on the CV VLS is 578e 3b50 xxxx xxxx

Re: VLS12200 configuration questions
Interesting.
Q2. Anyway, you need to use the WWN that the switches or CV VLS sees.
