App-Managed VSS quiesce in a VM without the MS iSCSI initiator?
All,
I notice in the User Guide p254 that the application-managed snapshot feature requires the MS iSCSI initiator.
Does anyone know if this feature will still work if I installed the VSS provider in a Windows VM on ESX4 *without* the MS iSCSI initiator and instead used VMFS or RDM-based storage?
Comments / thoughts welcome...

Re: App-Managed VSS quiesce in a VM without the MS iSCSI initiator?
What on earth was I thinking?!
Brain now in gear - VSS provider will *of course* need a direct iSCSI connection (via the MS iSCSI init) to the array for SCSI-level access to the array so the snapshot can be created.
