Backup or restore options (*.config)

Hi ,

After an update to 9.0 , i don't find the backup or restore storage node options !

Is the backup file already necessary to recontruct a cluster after a node crash !

Thank for any help.

Re: Backup or restore options (*.config)

Danel, you do not require the backup file anymore in SANiQ 9 to reconstruct the Cluster.

The Option hence has been removed from SANiQ 9.

Re: Backup or restore options (*.config)

Yes the info needs to be updated or needs to be marked for 8.5 or lower for that part.

Could you please explain Failed node ?

The node info is saved in Global Database (which is spread across the nodes in the cluster), hence even if a node is failed, when it comes back it knows where it belongs to.

There is no need for saving the config of the nodes anymore, it is taken care by SANiQ 9.0
