Hello,
I have a network 10.1.1.X for SAN and network 172.16.xx for LAN.
I would like to configure the email on the P4500 but my SMTP server in the network 172.16.xx CMC does not want my address 172.16.X.X
How do I do? :smileysurprised:

Re: Configuration Mail on P4500 with another network
Hi,
There are several ways, it depends of what is allowed within your company...
You will need to setup routing between those 2 networks... Often this is done by 1 of the 'SAN' switches (which are off course LAN switches) which will be connected with a physical cable to the regular LAN switches, with our without VLAN's (my experience around me: with VLAN's)
I have seen also solutions where the mail server is a VM running on the ESX servers which have a connection to the P4500... In that case you can connect an additional interface to the ESX server and connect it inside the 10.1.1.x network...
Kr,
Bart

Re: Configuration Mail on P4500 with another network
Not fool the second solution. :smileywink:
I will activate a relay SMTP on an exchange HUB/CAS in the 10.1.1.X network
