It's a shame we aren't seeing any new development with the product as neither Nimble Storage or Simplivity really address the gap that Storevirtual fills...
VMware VSAN is still horrendously expensive with hypervisor lock-in, and S2D is still relatively new with very specific hardware requirements. Additionally, neither of these can provide the same level of redundancy that the Storevirtual multi-site cluster is capable of (e.g. disk level RAID, plus NRAID).
I do wonder with the new v2 API whether we'll see any better management/monitoring tools. The CMC is and always has been a dog. If only the LHOS had a built-in webserver function, at least for initial deployment and config, with the ability to then host a management group web interface via the VIP. That would be cool.
