Free 1TB StoreVirtual VSA License Expiration Shows 2040

Hi - I've downloaded and successfully installed (from OVF) the free StoreVirtual VSA on two ESXi 6.0 (free version) hosts, using an NFS share for quorum. It all seems to work fine. When I look at the reported info for each VSA instance, it shows the license as expiring in year 2040, and also AO is enabled. I thought limitations of the free version were 3 year expiry, and no AO??

Thanks,

Sera

Re: Free 1TB StoreVirtual VSA License Expiration Shows 2040

If you do assign two tiers to the VSA, the 60-days Instant-On clock will start. Hence you do have 60-days time to add an appropriate license (you need to have at least the 10TB VSA license to use 2 tiers) to your VSA.

As long as you stay in your free 1TB limits (capacity and feature) you will be able to run this VSA until 2040, but you will only be able to apply critical patches and no other upgrades. And you will not be able to open a support call if you run into trouble with a 1TB VSA.
