Getting The 'Email' configuration status is 'Misconfigured' when it's not?
I was.
3 NSMs were happy with the settings, but one was not. All using 9.5.00.1215.0.
I re-applied the settings and still no luck.
Solution:
- Edit Email Settings for the cluster
- Change the SMTP server port from the default (25) to something else (26)
- Click Apply
- Change the port back to default (25)
- Click Apply
After that the setting applied to all 4 NSMs. Hope this helps someone.

Re: Getting The 'Email' configuration status is 'Misconfigured' when it's not?
Thank you VERY VERY MUCH for your post.
I was going NUTS trying to troubleshoot this.
We have 5 nodes at two sites - Main and DR site.
4 at DR were emailing fine but not the 5th at DR
Nor any of the 5 at HO
Troubleshooting was a nightmare - I just couldn't see the pattern.
Came across your post and had the prob fixed in SECONDS. And we were about to hire in the mega bucks Exchange / Networking specialist.
Have ticked your kudos star as requested.
Thanks again - very kind of you to share your info to help others

Re: Getting The 'Email' configuration status is 'Misconfigured' when it's not?
Hi,
I have exactly the same issue now after I added 3rd node to my management group, 1st and 2nd node sends email notification without any problems but the 3rd one can't do it and I'm keep getting the following error:
The 'Email' configuration status is 'Unconfigured'.
I've checked everything a few times, email configuration, firewalls, 3rd node can ping my smtp server any other idea how can I fix it? Btw I'm running the ver. 10.5 on all my nodes and I've already tried the change and apply different settings but still no luck.
Thank you for your help,
Lukasz
