HP StorageWorks 8/24 SAN Switch

We are thinking of using the 8/24 StorageWorks SAN switch but I would like to know if anyone here uses them currently.  We are currently using HP 2900-48g with a 10GB backplane but now have a need for more highspeed connections.  It seems silly for us to conitune to buy these out dated switches just to have access to the 2 10Gb ports on the back.

Thoughts and recommendations only

Re: HP StorageWorks 8/24 SAN Switch

8/24 StorageWorks SAN  offers "pay-as you grow",which means 16 ports can be used in bas model and can be scaled upto 24 ports .The max. throughput is 8GBps and if application requres more speed go for port trunking to receive aggregared throughput of upo 64Gbps ,8/24 also offers ISL trunking for physical grouping with another fabric.

Hope it helps!!
