Install VSA on same VMFS as ESX Service Console?
Hello,
Are you installing your VSA on the same VMFS as the ESX service console? The HP documentation specifies that the VSA should not be installed on the same VMFS as other virtual machines, but I cannot determine if this includes the ESX hypervisor and service console itself.
I could create a separate virtual disk in my RAID controller to host the VSA, but I'm wondering if this is necessary or is considered a best practice?
Thanks.

Re: Install VSA on same VMFS as ESX Service Console?
You need to make sure the VSA's Data disks are not shared. The VSA boot volume is generally installed with your other VMs/Console, since it is small, and gets very little utilization.
