Issue SSH command to P4500
Hi,
When using the CLI/IQ to issue a snapshot command it works.
However, when trying to push the same command via SSH the second part of command is not read properly.
The command I'm running: "createSnapshot VolumeName=Vol0;Vol1 SnapshotName=Snap1;Snap2"
ssh admin@xxx.xxx.xx.xx. -p 16022 "createSnapshot VolumeName=Vol0;Vol1 SnapshotName=Snap1;Snap2"
Password:

description Parameter snapshotname is missing
Thanks,

Re: Issue SSH command to P4500
There's a bug in the handling off ssh commands with more than one variable. If you're running 8.0 or 8.1 you can install patch 10049-00 to fix the problem.

Re: Issue SSH command to P4500
Seth is right about the patch being available. you should be able to find the patch if you just (ha ha)
1-Go to www.hp.com/go/P4000
2-Select "HP Support and Drivers" on the right hand side
3-Select any of the SAN solutions in the list (they all have the same patch available)
4-Select "Download drivers and software"
5-Select any of the SAN solutions in the list (yes this is totally redundant)
6-Select "Cross operating system (BIOS, Firmware, Diagnostics, etc.)"
7-Finally you are at the list of patches, select the patch "10049-00" labled as "SAN/iQ patch for On-Node Command Line Interface (CLI). Applies to SAN/iQ 8.0 and 8.1"
That is intended to fix your issue. Here is its description...
"This patch addresses a problem where scripting commands using the On-Node Command Line Interface (CLI) via SSH, PLINK or other command line connection utilities fails when the command requires more than one parameter. Applies to SAN/iQ 8.0 and 8.1"
Hope that helps.
