Left hand cluster

Hi,

Want to know if we can build a 64 Node LeftHand Cluster ? I know HP recommends a max of 32 Nodes, but is it technical possible ?
We do not need performance ... just big file systems on multisite for archiving

Re: Left hand cluster

We support a maximum of 32 nodes in a management group, but only a maximum of 16 nodes in a single cluster. And if you don’t want to have stress with support afterwards I wouldn’t suggest beyond the 16 nodes in a single cluster...

Re: Left hand cluster

Thanks but Does it mean, it supports 32 nodes per cluster, right?

In the product bulletin, its mentioned 32 nodes in a cluster. And P4000 TOR, writing with maximum 256 drives supported.

Re: Left hand cluster

Hello,

P4000 SAN means management group as you can have different clusters in it with tiering/Peer Motion (for instance SSD, MDL SAS, SAS)

Re: Left hand cluster

SAN means Management Group not cluster here; so you can have 2 x 16 node clusters or multiple smaller clusters but not a single large cluster as one single pool of storage.

Hence,  we support 32 node per single management group and max. 16 nodes per cluster.

Hope this explains.....
