Just got in to work today and have this message:
E01020407: EID BPS Faulty. The Cache 1 Backup Power Source (Batteries) status is Faulty.
How bad is that and is it something we can fix?

SolutionThis refers to the cache battery of the array controller. If the battery is faulty, the controller is disabling write cache, hence the system could be a bit slower. Consider to replace that battery.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Lefthand SAN Cache Battery 'Faulty'
Hi - I just got this on our LAB SAN server. At first glance I thought it was the UPS but I see it's the battery now. Can you tell me please, was it the battery on the RAID controller? Did you have a part number by chance? I need to order this out somewhere since we don't have any warranty support on our lab systems. Thanks.

Re: Lefthand SAN Cache Battery 'Faulty'
Which Lefthand product model you are dealing with ?
I am not sure about P4000 but for SV3200 I am aware of some known issue where for cache battery fault alert no need to replace battery..........it can be fix from backend of the array and that can be done by HPE support
I work for HPE
