Lefthand spanned volumes
Is spanning volumes possible without network raid? SO i create a LUN without network raid 10. Does it stay only on 1 node?

Re: Lefthand spanned volumes
Even if you use RAID-0, a volume can/will span multiple nodes (if multiple nodes are available). It also depends on the size of the volume created.
There is no way I am aware of to force the volume to only be available on a single node without creating a single node cluster and creat the volume on it.

Re: Lefthand spanned volumes
And to follow-up:
All volumes (regardless of your network RAID choice) are ALWAYS striped across ALL nodes within a CLUSTER. Network RAID will just determine the parity and/or number of copies of the individual data blocks. Basically there is NO such thing as a multi-node LeftHand cluster that does NOT use network RAID. (although you CAN use Network RAID 0, which has striping with NO parity and NO mirroring) So basically you will not have high availability if ANY node in the cluster goes offline.
As Bryan stated, the only way you EVER will have data just on one node is to create a cluster with a single node.
