NSM-160 / SanIQ 8.1
Just out of curiosity, can an NSM-160 run SanIQ 8.1? Is anyone doing this? If so, is there any performance increases from 7.0?

Re: NSM-160 / SanIQ 8.1
I am running SANIQ 8, not 8.1 on my 160s. My understanding is that the difference from 8 to 8.1 was re-branding for it to say HP.
Performance increase? I didn't see any. There were a number of nagging issues I had with VMWare not seeing certain volumes off of my NSM160 under both SANIQ 6 and 7. As soon as I went to 8, all those problems went away.
If you don't have any problems and you didn't have other nodes running 8, why upgrade what isn't broken. You could always download the upgrade and patches should you want to do it later.

Re: NSM-160 / SanIQ 8.1
I'm running 8.1 on a cluster of 16 NSM160's. I can't say definitively that there were performance increases, though they do seem easier to manage to me.
The 160's only have a little life left in them anyway. After the 8.5 upgrade, they are EOL. Can't say I'll be sorry to see them go.
