P4000 VSA VM disk removal

Is there a clean way to remove a hard disk from a P4000 VSA VM? (I'm referring to the SCSI 1:n data disks attached to the VSA virtual machine.)
There is no option for removing a disk in the CMC disk setup tasks, even if the VSA node is removed from the cluster and management group.

If you just delete the disk from the VSA VM settings, in the CMC the VSA shows the removed disk as in a failed state and there's no obvious way to clear this condition.

Thanks,
Ross

Don't think so. You can grow the VSA's capacity, but not shrink.

You would have to redeploy a new VSA with less VMDKs attached.

Re: P4000 VSA VM disk removal

I am having this same issue and would like to remove a disk from a storage system in a cluster.  This disk shows a status of "off or removed" in the disk setup tab.  Since this thread is old, I wondered if there is some way to accomplish this in 11.0 that was not present in earlier releases?

Thanks.
