P4500 Email "Connection Refused"

Hello, we just setup (2) p4500. We are using the motherboard ports as the san/iq network. We can ping our smtp server, but we keep getting connection refused when sending a test email.
Thanks.

Is TCP 25 SMTP port open ?
From CMC go to storage server TCP/IP Network
Under TCP/IP Tab when you right click on your nic you will find a Ping option
Ping you SNMP Server from there to see if u get reply.
I work for HPE

Re: P4500 Email "Connection Refused"

I just found out from suppport, that there's a bug in the CMC 9.0 email. I changed the sender to equal the recipent, and it started working. I changed the sender back, to a fictious name, and it's still working.

Thank you so much! I've been fighting with this all morning. Setting the sender name to match the recipient name for a test worked. Thanks again.

Re: P4500 Email "Connection Refused"

Hi,

I have this problem too. CMS is 9.5. .. ping to CentOS with postfix is ok. From other server with windows telnet I try connect to 25 and its ok. But from LH no... same From: and To: is without effect..

Thank you for your advices!

It works. I'm running SANIQ version 9.5, and obviously it still has the same bug. Just change the sender address to the same as receipient address, and after successfully send test email, you can change sender address to anything you want, and it still works.
