P4500 G2 installation

Hello,

could you help me, i need to configure the storage system from the scratch, is it possible to configure it without KVM through ilO/MGMT for example? is  it DHCP enabled?

Re: P4500 G2 installation

Configure a single node?

You need a VGA screen (even ILO remote desktop) to set the networking information. That's it. Everything else has to be done from the Management console application.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: P4500 G2 installation

I need to configure two nodes from remote location, is it possible? or i need direct access to the storage system through KVM when configuring for the first time?

Re: P4500 G2 installation

You need to configure the IP address and NIC teaming from the local console or ILO remote console.

AFAIR the P4500G2 is a  DL180 G6 witout ILO, but a LO-100, not sure if remote console is enabled or not, it needs a license.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: P4500 G2 installation

In my experience with these units, the P4500 G2 comes with ILO2, and remote control is enabled by default.

As long as you've connected the ILO port to a network with a DHCP server you should be fine.

ILO credentials are physically attached to the NSM in the form of a tag. You would obviously have to retrieve those credentials.
