P4500 convert remote snapshots to application managed snapshots

I was wondering if it was possible to convert remote snapshots to application managed.

It is a VMware environment which, which currently has remote snapshots on all the volumes. The snapshots were not set up as application managed.

If this is changed to application managed, would we have to redo the original snapshot replication? or would the snapshots continue, but the new snaps be application managed?
