Re: Parity Initialization Status is 'Failed'.
Hi,
you can find an explanaition in the following post.
https://community.hpe.com/t5/HPE-StoreVirtual-Storage/Drive-Predictive-Failure/td-p/6940434
you can open a case so support can check and decide which hdd have to be replaced due to medium, timeouts, etc. errors.

Re: Parity Initialization Status is 'Failed'.
Hi Thanks
Currently we dont have HP support for this, hence i am asking help here
i have coupel of quesiton :-
a)to chagne a disk which has medium error, do we need to perform any special task or will it be just pull the disk and push a new one ?
b) after we change the disk, the parity should be ok automatically or do we need to do any special work for it to become ok ?
Thanks for the help

Re: Parity Initialization Status is 'Failed'.
Hi,
when you have identifiyed the disk, you can just pull it and replace it with new one.
After you have replaced the disk the rebuild will start and the parity init will start over again by itself. Keep in mind that
parity init can take quite a long time to finish, as it only runs in the background when there is no i/o on the disk
for a certein amount of time.
You are welcome.
