Primary No Global Error - Remote Snapshot

When I am trying to set up a remote snapshot I get an error stating "Primary No Global". Anyone have any ideas what this cryptic error means?

Thanks

Re: Primary No Global Error - Remote Snapshot

We just ran into this same issue. For us it was network related.

Both SANS have to have two-way communication to each other in order for remote snapshot to happen. We changed the end-point of our remote tunnel and even though the primary could ping to the remote, the remote could no longer ping back.

Once we reestablished the right route, everything came back.

Re: Primary No Global Error - Remote Snapshot

Hi James,

Were you able to resolve this issue??

We have a situation where the customer has done NAT-ting on the remote site, and we have to use the NAT-ted IP to add the storage nodes into the CMC.

Is it possible for Remote Copy to work in a NAT environment?

Re: Primary No Global Error - Remote Snapshot

Is there any solution on this ?

Can the HP Storevirtual 4530 operate in NAT environment by using the NAT mode ?

becuase I test on DMZ zone , NAT mode and also allow the ports still failed ,

I had configure the firewall but not working

Enclose with my screenshot
