Question about FOM setup

I currently have a single management group that has two seperate clusters. Each cluster is a member of a different subnet. Ex:

P4000MGMT

Cluster 1 - 192.168.50.x

Cluster 2 - 192.168.51.x

Does the FOM have to have two NICs with each NIC connected to each of the cluster's subnets? Or should one NIC work?

Thank you!

Re: Question about FOM setup

FOM only has to be reachable by all nodes. This can be on a different subnet.

Re: Question about FOM setup

So if I understand you correctly Davy, the FOM does have to have two NICs, one on 192.168.50.x and the other on 192.168.51.x.........correct?

Re: Question about FOM setup

one nic is fine.  You just have to make sure the default gateways are correct for all the nodes and you have a route from one subnet to the others.  Just like any other IP device.

Re: Question about FOM setup

oikjn,

All the gateways are correct on the nodes and I do have a route setup....that was the answer I was looking for!

Thank you!
