RAID OFF after HDD replacement
We had a HDD fail last week on the StoreVirtual2 below. We removed the drive like we have done in the past, and swapped it with a spare. Once the swap was done the Array did not rebuild and it is showing as status off and has been that way for the last 4 days.
Event: EID_DATA_ARRAY_FAILED E01000303
Severity: Critical
Date and Time: 14/04/22 5:03:07 o'clock PM GMT
Component: HW
User: System
Object Type: System
Object Name: Data Array 1
Management Group: XXXX-StoreVirtual
Cluster: HGMH-StoreVirtual
IP/Hostname: StoreVirtual2.XXXXon.ca
Message: The 'Data Array 1' status is 'Failed'. Note: This is normal if you are replacing a drive in RAID0.
Event: EID_S_SERVER_STATUS_NOT_READY E00060202
Severity: Critical
Date and Time: 14/04/22 5:02:02 o'clock PM GMT
Component: SAN/iQ
User: System
Object Type: Storage Server
Object Name: StoreVirtual2.XXX.on.ca
Management Group: XXXX-StoreVirtual
Cluster: XXXX-StoreVirtual
IP/Hostname: StoreVirtual2.XXXX.on.ca
Message: The storage system 'StoreVirtual2.XXXX.on.ca' status in cluster 'XXXX-StoreVirtual' is 'Not Ready'.
any help or direction that we can be given to correct this issue would be appreciated.

Re: Query: RAID OFF after HDD replacement
Hello @29_tunderwood,
Just to pre-empt the possibility of any error while replacing the drive, can you please validate the procedure and best practices with the below document.
HPE StoreVirtual - Replacing a Disk - https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-c04854924
Let me know if everything is fine and the issue still persists.

Srinivas Bhat

Re: RAID OFF after HDD replacement
We can try to reboot the Node and verify.
If the Error still shows up then we might have to check for Media Errors on the other Hard Drives.
This would need an indepth log analysis and might require a support case.
