Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.5, HP LeftHand
Hello Everybody,
I have to configure an Oracle RAC database on DL385 server. Thes torage is HP LeftHand P4300.
I'm using iscsi initiator bundled with the Linux distribution.
HP LeftHand has a VIP ip address. The iSCSI portal is the VIP ip address. I can discover all available LUNS in this way.
When I do the login to discovered LUNs pointing on the VIP, iSCSI redirect the Linux initiators to the physical IP addresses. I have
two NIC on Linux system, so I see two path for each LUN.
But because of VIP, I can not decide which NIC has to connect to which LUN. If I connect twice to the same LUN with the same network interface, it is bad for redundancy and for performance. How I can change this behaviour? Is Lefthand configurable without VIP?
Thnak you
Regards
Giovanni
