SV4335 storage - Storage Network Redundancy

Hello,

Could someone help with the correct way to add a 2nd switch into the mix for storevirtual on the storage network side

Currently we have a single switch on the 10.10.10.x range in each location but want to double this up for redundancy. We are using the 10gb SFP+ ports for this. Unsure what to ip the 2nd port and whether the switches should cross connect to each other or not.

My thoughts are the second port to be ip'ed on the 10.10.11.x range, not cross connected and the VMWare servers having a second connection to storage on the 10.10.11.x range?

All advice welcome :) been a while since I looked at this side of things

Robbie

Re: SV4335 storage - Storage Network Redundancy

Hi Robbie,

Thank you for your query. My understanding is that you want to add a second switch for the Storevirtual cluster and use a different iscsi subnet for redundancy.

If this is the case, then it is not possible, because from one cluster, we can have the storage hosted on only one iSCSI subnet.

Please let me know if you have any further queries.
