San/IQ licensing question
Hello,
We have 2 Storageworks P4500G2 units. We use SAN/iQ software on both of them (2 entitlements total) and they are in a cluster (network raid 10).
While activating the 2nd entitlement, my admin accidentally typed in iLO's MAC address on HP's licensing portal, thus issuing an activation key that was useless. We did a rehost, entered the correct MAC address on the activation portal and got the normal license key.
That brought me a question: Out of curiosity, what would prevent someone from getting one entitlement and (using the "rehost" feature) activate that entitlement on two different Storageworks units? Is there a limitation for that when they are in the same cluster? If yes, what about having them in a different cluster?
