StoreVirtual FC randomly drops and volume re-appears as read only

StoreVirtual FC randomly drops and volume re-appears as read only

We have a HP StoreVirtual 3200 and sometimes the FC link will go down for a minute then come back up (we are unsure why this happens), once the link comes back up the FC volume on Windows cames back online as read only. HP have already come out and replaced the FC HBA on the server. Could this issue be caused by the FC cable itself?
