Hi
I'm attempting to update the Storevirtual CMC and I'm getting a warning about an HTTPS error. This doesn't make sense though because these updates ran fine about a month ago.
The upgrades.xml file points to here: ftp://ftp:cmcdnlds@ftp.hp.com/pub/hp_LeftHandOS/
There's enough drive space
The firewall hasn't been edited
Proxy hasn't been changed.
I deleted all the contents of the download folder
This has happened before and a work around was at this link but the link doesn't work now:

Re: StoreVirtual updater
Same issue here, strange thing that the FTP seems completely empty for files under LeftHandOS...?

Re: StoreVirtual updater
HPE has shut down the ftp site. Updates are now only available through the CMC using https protocol. You will need to update the CMC to 12.6.00.162 to use the new method.

Re: StoreVirtual updater
Downloaded the installer as recommended but the URL in the upgrades.xml file did not change. Can you please provide that so I can edit the upgrades.xml file accordingly, please?
Thanks

Re: StoreVirtual updater
Thank you so much, been faced with this for some time now and this of course fixed it! Didn't think of updating the CMC itself as that normally happened automatically as well.

SolutionThis seemed to work for me:
From HP support:
Please check the ftp URL in the following files:
File 1:
C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\StoreVirtual\UI\downloads\upgrades.xml
Open the file with a text editor (WordPad works fine) and make sure it’s pointing to here:
<DownloadURLs>
<URL>https://downloads.hpe.com/pub/StoreVirtual/CMC/</URL>
<URL>https://downloads.hpe.com/pub/StoreVirtual/CMC/</URL>
<URL>https://downloads.hpe.com/pub/StoreVirtual/CMC/</URL>
<URL>https://downloads.hpe.com/pub/StoreVirtual/CMC/</URL>
<URL>https://downloads.hpe.com/pub/StoreVirtual/CMC/</URL>
</DownloadURLs>
If it’s pointing to the old location, close the file, rename it, and in the CMC go to Tasks > Download Upgrades Manifest
File 2:
C:\Users\<username>\.storage_system\Preferences.txt
Open the file and make sure the following line is like this:
CmcUpgradePreference.upgradeUrl=https\://downloads.hpe.com/pub/StoreVirtual/CMC/
If it’s pointing to the old location, close the CMC, rename the file, then re-open the CMC and check your downloads again. The preferences file should be regenerated once you perform a download or if you change any upgrade preferences in the CMC.
