The management group license expired, causing volumes to go offline. You must register your storage
Greetings,
I have 16 VSAs arranged into 4 separate managment groups. They all have valid VSA licenses but they all throw this error:
The management group 'atccod_vsa_mg_n' license expired, causing volumes to go offline. You must register your storage system now.
I have seen a post or two on this subject but without any useful answers.
Thanks,
John

are the licesne files loaded into each VSA? Check them all, they are either valid or invalid, so they cannot be valid AND giving you that error. My guess is somehow one of them is corrupted and you need to reload the license key. Or if this is not perpetual, check the NTP server to make sure your clocks are correct.

Re: The management group license expired, causing volumes to go offline. You must register your stor
I have verified all the licenses on the individual VSAs and I have confirmed that the NTP times are within milliseconds of each other for all 16 VSA platforms. The one anomoly that I do see is if I am at the management group level I see this license key for the first VSA:
0541-AAAC-3BE0-9031-B2A9-D510-A18D-FEC0-AE75-F6A5-20DD-BE99-939D-3466-751A-674A-7D03-D6DD-3273-B688-4A04-5907-FFE8-2E5D-7159-B4D0-18C6-9421-36C8-4D4E-C4C4-5B50-5B
but if I look at the actual VSA I see:
0538-932B-FA47-B65E-807E-20E8-BD16-6562-D318-A144-856E-29FD-4910-71F5-AA9C-A391-161B-9493-8D83-87CE-FB07-232E-693A-4990-481E-96D0-AB1C-97EC-2C7A-4E54-B4AB-8541-60
I entered the second key at the management group level but I only see it updated at the VSA level. If you are an HPE employee I would be happy to show this all to you in a Skype meeting.
Thanks,
John

sorry, can't help there, just a long-time user here.
are the luns read-only? If not, maybe this is just a reporting bug in your CMC somehow. do you have another computer to install CMC on and test it out?
