Hey there,
We are restoring from scratch a P4300. Inserted the SANIQ cd, and the i plugged a USB/FAT32 with a single file named featurekey_MACADDRESS. Where MAC address is the Feature ID of the P4300.
I followed this link http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=110&prodSeriesId=3936136&prodTypeId=12169&objectID=c01852189&printver=true
and it does not work. When I press enter the SANIQ script complains about "Unable to create mount point of usb drive" and then refuses to read my usb and the key. The usb is recognized by the system so that is not the problem.
Suggestions?

SolutionAn update (and for my own info):
attached you will find 4 screenshots.
screen01 is the first screen asking for an USB with the license file.
screen02 is the second screen, after the SANIQ installer has started.
screen03 is the screen that appears if you insert your USB key at any other moment than screen01.
screen_ok is the correct message that SANIQ installer gives you when it finds the key file in the usb that was attached on screen01.
So, a note to the developers (suggested patch??).
a- please let everyone know that if we do not plug the USB drive exactly on screen01, then the usb/key will not be recognized.
b- instead of the error in screen03, refer the user to when exactly the usb must be inserted in order to be recognized.
c- in a small message, remind the user of the proper format of the file that must reside on the USB disk. It took me a while to find a document that says so.
thanks,

Re: Unable to create mount point of usb drive - SAN IQ Recovery CD
The USB thumb drive must be FAT, not NTFS.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Unable to create mount point of usb drive - SAN IQ Recovery CD
Hi,
It's already FAT 32, but is not working, do you know how is the correct way to type it and avoid the USB flash step.
I get something like this from HP:
3544481_AX2554-63871_E0.11.3B.DC.1E.TT.dat
According to the manual and the info HP sent me last friday, the correct way to put it into the USB is:
3544481_AX2554-63871_E0113BDC1ETT
I tried with:
3544481AX255463871_E0113BDC1ETT
I tried to type it in differents ways but still not working.
