VMware 5.0, SRM, P4000, and Reprotect?
So I've done one or two dry runs of my failover process in SRM using the SRA for the P4500 G2s and everything works well. I'd like to practice "failback" if possible but in my mind this seems like a weird issue. So now you have this LUN at your remote site that is now running the actual VMs. What do you do to fail back for that LUN? Do you have to create a new remote snapshot back to the original site like you did to protect the original LUN to the remote site? Will the P4500 software allow you to replicate back to that original LUN from the remote site or will you have to create a new LUN on the original site to replicate back to?
Hope these questions make sense. If anyone needs clarification let me know.
