Very Slow single SV3200 storage, am I doing something wrong?
Dear Community
I have an sv3200 10GB iSCSI interfaces 20 Disks, configured for performance.
Its NOT in use anymore (because it was fu...slow)
I have an iSCSI target to that sv3200 from a physical server (Windows 2012 R2)
From the same server I have an iscsi target to an 3or4 year old Synology RS812+ 4 DISKS
How come, that in my speedtests, the Synology is over 30% faster with READ/WRITE than the new sv3200?
When attached to an ESXi cluster, and the cluster uses them as iscsi storage, the synology is even over 50% faster!?!
Is that normal!?!
I used HD_Speed as test, attached the testlogs. Maybe someone can enlighten me. (I deleted a few lines in the middle to fit on one page)
,Thomas

I know that thread....Your answer is not really helpful nor is the thread you mentioned...I also participated on that thread....
I wonder, can it be! that a cheap synology is faster than a device with 10K SAS disks and 2 Controllers?
