Win2008 reboot times

We have a 5-node cluster of P4500-G2. Running SANiQ 8.5. Our Windows 2008 R2 Servers with iSCSI drives attached take an inordinate amount of time to reboot. We are running HP LeftHand DSM for MPIO from the P4500 Windows Solution Pack (current version). Anyone seen this before?

Re: Win2008 reboot times

I've seen it if you have quite a few shares that are on iSCSI volumes in Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 (not R2). Not sure if they fixed the dependencies on the Server Service or not. But you could also have other services trying to kick off that have files on the iSCSI volumes before the volumes are connected (which causes significant delays).

What do you see in the event log?
