Re: how to set box level redundancy with lefthand P4300

Hello,

the RAID 5 is for the internal disks, right? In this case you a single disk failure will not cause the failure of a LeftHand appliance. To survive a box failure, you have to create a cluster which includes both LeftHand boxes and create a volume with RAID 1. In this case the blocks of the volumes will be copied on both boxes. Using the cluster ip to connect the cluster will ensure that your connected hosts can use the volume, even if a single LeftHand box fails.
