nvram problem , rebuid raid necessary
During our last customers installations of P4500 , the cluster creation failed with an nvram error.
For each server we must rebuild the raid before create the cluster.
is anyone know this issue ? and how to explain it ?
thanks

Re: nvram problem , rebuid raid necessary
Is the hardware status of the boxes OK?

Re: nvram problem , rebuid raid necessary
To day the cluster is up to date , but during the installaion , the last patches was missing.
Do you known that is better to update the nodes before create the cluster ?
thanks

Re: nvram problem , rebuid raid necessary
If it is a new setup though I would suggest first to update the nodes before creating the volumes and attaching the servers.
Guarantee yourself that also the connected servers have the latest Solution Pack installed (in case of Windows servers)

Re: nvram problem , rebuid raid necessary
Can you explain why? I never heard this statement before... And I updated my boxes from 8.1 to 8.5 to 9.0 with active volumes on it without any volume downtime...

Re: nvram problem , rebuid raid necessary
I would prefer updating/upgrading the Nodes with all the patches and then Adding them to Management Group rather than the other way round.
If the nodes are already in the Management Group then one has to upgrade/update it as is.
