vsa storevirtual volume

hello,

I have a VSA infrastructure with 3 tiers disks  (NL.FC,SSD)

I have configured all disks to use with VSA

I have activated the AO on it, and create a lot of volumes

is there a way to create a new volume using SSD disks only?  could I move an existing volume to SSD disks?

how to?

When I create a new volume, in a AO solution,  in witch tier is it created?

thanks

Luigi

Re: vsa storevirtual volume

Hi,

First, StoreVirtual VSA supports only 2 tiers, not 3. How did you configure 3 tiers?

No it is not possible to pin a volume on SSD only, when you enable AO on a volume, it will use 2 tiers defined as Tier 0 and Tier 1 in your cluster.

All new data on a volume is considered as hot data and so it will be written to the SSD tier. When the SSD tier becomes full, the 'least hot' data will be moved to the SAS tier...

Bart
