booting problem with hp 2524
hey,
i've a booting problem with a procurve 2524 switch. the booting process stops with the output "..waiting speed sense. press enter to continue..". when i press the enter button, the switch hangs up.
has someone an idea what's going on with the switch and/or how solve this problem (if this is possible)?
kind regards,
bernhard

Re: booting problem with hp 2524
Hi.
You say that the switch "hangs up"... do you mean that it stops passing traffic?
There's a problem with Windows Hyperterminal, connection might not work. To overcome this you need to either update HT or use a different console client. I'd advise to use Tera Term Pro, http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA002416/ttermp23.zip, homepage http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA002416/teraterm.html
This works with HP networking devices with default settings.
HTH,
Arimo

Re: booting problem with hp 2524
HI
If you have the configuration revised, when appear "..waiting speed sense. press enter to continue.." press two times quickly, then the Procurve establish speed connection.
