1800-8G gets stuck in 'mirroring' mode

Hi,

I'm running PA.02.09 on a new 1800-8G switch. I have 2 ports in vlan 10 (my external network) and my other ports in vlan 100 (internal network). When I turn on port mirroring from port1->port5, turn on Wireshark in promiscuious mode I see packets from port1 (good). When I turn off the port mirroring on port1 I continue to see the same traffic as if the mirroring was still running. Only a switch reboot will stop the port mirroring. Same happened on the PA.02.07 code.

>> During mirroring:
Mirror Configuration:

Mirror Port: 5

Source:

Port 1: enabled

Port 2: disabled

Port 3: disabled

Port 4: disabled

Port 5: disabled

Port 6: disabled

Port 7: disabled

Port 8: disabled

>> After mirroring turned off
Mirror Configuration:

Mirror Port: 5

Source:

Port 1: disabled

Port 2: disabled

Port 3: disabled

Port 4: disabled

Port 5: disabled

Port 6: disabled

Port 7: disabled

Port 8: disabled

Yet I still see lots of traffic with public source & destination addresses that are not on my lan. When I reboot the switch everything goes back to normal in Wireshark.

What do you think?

VLAN Configuration:

Sounds like you found yourself a software bug, well done. Now make sure to report it to ProCurve support!
